Description
When your job involves catering to a specific industry, it can get b-o-r-i-n-g seeing the same photos over and over again. In my case: runway photos. Photos taken by engineers, so that means the photos are very dull (usually). This is an example of one I jazzed up a bit to use for a presentation-- the top shows a Photoshop screen capture with the original photo on the bottom, and my reworked photomanip at the top. The two screen shots below show example slides in the resulting presentation: the title slide and a basic bullet slide.
A was lamenting the poor photo selections and I thought "well are you a graphic designer or what?! make your own!". This may be a bit too fantastical for company use though...

It works very well for the secondary (text-carrying) screen -- I wouldn't hesitate at all to use that sidebar design.
The big one (Public Hearing in large letters) does look a bit apocalyptic, though. I do like the clouds, but I'd lighten and tone the contrast down so it looks like normal sky with those clouds.
